1. Exam structure

New HSK is a international Chinese capacity standardized test, key examines the students, whose Chinese is not the first language, in life, study and work the ability of using Chinese to communicate. New HSK includes written examination and oral examination. The written and oral is independent of each other. The written examination includes HSK(level 1), HSK(level 2), HSK(level 3), HSK(level 4), HSK(level 5),HSK(level 6); The oral examination includes HSK(primary), HSK(middle), HSK(advanced), the oral examination adopt the form of recording.

2. Exam grade

New HSK all levels and the international standard Chinese capacity of the European language common frame of reference (CEF) "of the corresponding relationship between the table below:

Through the HSK (level) of the candidates can understand and use some very simple Chinese words and sentences, meet the specific needs of communication, have further to study the Chinese language ability.

Through the HSK (level 2) of the candidates can use Chinese is familiar everyday topic of simple and direct exchange, to elementary Chinese superior level.

Through the HSK (3) of the candidates can complete with Chinese life, study, work, and other aspects of the basic communication tasks, tour in China, but most of the communication to meet mission.

Through the HSK (level 4) of the candidates can use Chinese is a wide range of issues to talk about, more fluently and Chinese native speakers for communication.

Through the HSK (5) of the candidates can read Chinese newspapers and magazines, appreciate Chinese film and television programs, in Chinese more complete speech.

Through the HSK (six) of the candidates can easily understand heard or read Chinese information, oral or written in the form of fluent in Chinese to express their opinions.

3. Test principle

New HSK follow the principle of “teat and teach”, the design of the test combines with the international Chinese teaching situation and teaching material.

New HSK observes the objective、accurate evaluation, pay more attention to developing the students’ ability of using Chinese.

New HSK make exact test goal to make it convenient to improve the ability of using Chinese programmatically and effectively/

4. Examination purposes

New HSK continue the original HSK general (or gm) Chinese capacity test of positioning, referres to adult learners. The results can satisfy multiple requirements:

（1）provide the reference for college to recruit students, divide into classes teaching, Undergraduate degree course, Credit granted.

（2）provide the reference for employing agencies hiring, training, promote workers

（3）provide the reference for Chinese learners learn and improve their Chinese application ability,

（4）provide the reference for Related Chinese teaching units and training institutions to evaluate teaching or training effect

5. Score report

After the test within 3 weeks, candidates will receive the new HSK scores by hanban.
